Something as little as a message seen out of the corner of my eye makes my day. I’m addicted to everything Google. When I’m checking and responding to emails all day it helps to update my status with messages that inspire, motivate, and reinforce my values. Here’s my most recent:
Favorite Friendship Bracelet
When you stop by Margaret J. Harris‘ next trunk show for her Journey Jewelry Collection, pick up one of her cards that has a Chinese coin connected by a red linen cord. They make really cute bracelets that are the perfect accessory to any outfit.
They have a special meaning too: The circular shape of the coin represents heaven, while the square center represents the earth. When strung on a red thread, it brings luck to the wearer and protection from evil spirits.
My good friends and I have fastened the coin and cord around our wrists. This 
chic reminder of our friendship is with us always.

Favorite Chicago Scene
Who doesn’t like to see the Willis Tower transformed into a vodka bottle against a vibrant Chicago skyline? Local Chicago Artist, Alexander Fedirko worked on this custom Effen painting throughout the Art of Design™ party at the Hard Rock Hotel this past Wednesday.
